Cheaper, Healthier, More Delicious
I didn't try the strawberry yet.
I made both using 0.5% fat skim milk and used a hand mixer to mix the ingredients, left them to freeze overnight and the result was impressive.
The texture is spot on, hard serve & creamy and it actually tastes like real ice cream somehow, not chalky or artificial at all.
Looking forward to trying out the strawberry flavor too.
I use a hand blender for this and the texture comes out pretty much same as store-bought protein ice creams, hard serve texture and its DELICIOUS and edible straight out of the freezer
prep and cleanup takes me 5 minutes max so that is very helpful if you're incredibly lazy (like me)
I like how easy it is to use this mix! Just add 2 scoops of ice cream mix and some milk and you have creamy ice cream (after blending and freezing it, of course!).
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Skim milk, almond milk, full fat milk, a protein shake - basically any type of milk you want.
We personally use low fat milk (0.5% fat) because it provides the best texture and the lowest calories. If you want an even creamier texture and higher protein amount, you can add a protein shake.
You can use any of these, as long as you make sure you mix all the ingredients. We recommend hand blenders / hand mixers mainly because they can mix the ingredients faster than frothers.
Preparation takes less than 5 minutes and it is very simple.
Add 6 fl oz of skim milk/almond milk (or protein shake) to a container
Add 2 scoops (100 grams) of ice cream mix
Mix with a hand mixer for 2 minutes, add any mix-ins you may have and then add the bowl/container to a freezer for 16-24 hours.
Thats it!!
Enjoy! 😋
